FAQ for Agents
A separate guide for Referral Agents. For questions about your child’s learning account, visit the student and parent FAQ.
The Agent exam’s availability is shown on the preparation page. Registration, referral codes and visiting cards are being tested. Paid subscriptions, commission accounting and payouts are not connected yet; final programme terms apply before commercial launch.
What is a Q-Study Referral Agent?
A Referral Agent is an adult who introduces families to Q-Study using a personal referral code. It is a referral role, separate from student accounts and country-level business partnerships.
Can a parent become a Q-Study Agent?
Yes. Parents aged 18 or over can become Agents by passing the exam and completing the required details and agreement. Existing Q-Study users can log in with their current email and password and add Agent membership to the same account. An email that is already confirmed does not need confirmation again.
Parent/learning access and Agent membership are separate. Existing students, results, points, plans and trial expiry stay unchanged. Use Agent dashboard from the learning home page, or Parent / Learning area from your Agent dashboard.
Who can apply?
The planned programme is for people aged 18 or over. Applicants will need to pass the Agent knowledge exam, complete their details, verify their email and accept the programme terms.
What should I study, and can I try again if I do not pass?
The questions use How Q-Study Works, the student and parent FAQ, and this Agent FAQ. You may keep the guides open while answering. Two attempts are available in this browser. If you do not pass, review the guides and try once more. The current question count, pass mark and timing are shown on the exam preparation page. Passing unlocks registration. Visit the exam preparation page.
How will a family use my referral code?
A parent can type your permanent code into the optional Referral Code field, or open your referral link to prefill it. The same code works for different families; the QR on your visiting card opens that same link. Attribution is saved on new signup and cannot be changed through later metadata edits. Free trials are not paid subscriptions; paid registration is still a preview.
How will the monthly commission work?
The proposed commission is A$10 per eligible referred student for each successfully paid subscription month. Free trials, unpaid months, refunds and cancellations will be covered by the final programme terms. Commission accounting and payment are not active yet. Eligible commission will be recorded only from successful payments once billing is connected. Recording commission and sending money are separate: eligible amounts will be reviewed for a monthly payout. Registration does not automatically deduct A$10 from Q-Study’s bank account.
Will I receive a printable visiting card?
After passing, registering and confirming your email, your dashboard prepares a personalised card with your name, permanent referral code, website address and one QR code. You can print, save PDF or download PNG. Ask the print shop for a finished size of 85 × 55 mm, matte finish, on 300–350 GSM card. Email and Contact Number are left blank for handwriting. The detachable print-shop note is included with printing. Check one sample and scan its QR before ordering a full run.
Will I be able to see student results or personal writing?
Your dashboard lists only your own referred accounts, with the student name and level when available, signup status and a partially hidden parent email. It does not grant access to learning results, submitted writing or Q-Study’s main Admin area. A referral record is not a commission or proof of payment.
Is a Country Business Partner the same as an Agent?
No. A country partnership requires a separate proposal, discussions, an agreement and Q-Study approval. Passing an exam does not automatically grant country rights or access to student payments. Explore the Country Partners page for the planned process.
